1.3 Million People Affected by Health Data Breach

In what appears to be one of the largest health records data breaches reported so far this year, the state of Montana will be notifying 1.3 million people of this recent incident. According to the press release issued by the state, hackers apparently gained access to a Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) computer server that maintained health records along with information regarding services their clients may have applied for.
